I believe with enough work I could get recognition from my local government and help create a positive movement for the youth of my local community.

Currently as a group we have had a community party for local young adults to promote socialising and networking, we have a YouTube channel full of videos from the summer… I showcase them as video slideshows that trail linear through the summer, so if you had bumped into me at some stage through the summer it would be documented on YouTube, I have video footage from the Local Park, local hot spots and recently restored areas in the borough

After a week of thought, I chose to put both Ryu and Akuma Face to Face their rivalry resembles the relationship between both neo and Morpheus the roles of a teacher vs. student, the battle of young vs. old skill vs. ability…

The story of Akuma and Ryu is short, Akuma is the brother of Ryu’s master, Akuma is not evil but he is a very powerful fighter, he has the ability no never give up and when he is near fatality he has mystical powers that are capable of killing men with one touch… Akuma’s strength leads him to kill fighters, and his aim is to find another fighter worthy of his time.

In Revenge of his master Ryu seeks to find Akuma on a long journey around the world has Ryu managed to find Akuma’s Lost and Dangerous Island… and will Ryu want to settle the score or just talk to Akuma… Ryu has also been fighting his own powers as his new found anger for Akuma has lead him to have godlike abilities of his own, with no known father the obvious has yet to be realised by Ryu… But will his love for his master who raised him prevail.

last year my hand in was late and to prevent that around a month ago i set up my old computers into servers and created a backburner render farm, this allowed me to constantly be rendering in a queue on my old pc’s whilst i was still designing on my main pc, this was tremendously helpful and increased my productivity incredibly and allowed me to be more focussed on modelling and i could push my textures to have more detail if i wanted.

using these methods i soon learned that if i was to get the best looking scenes i would also have to mask out some backgrounds and have separate layered renders so my explosions could be almost 3d and so that i could have an interactive sky and also have more control over colours in my scene.

My skills since my last project have improved greatly and i think that it is visible in my work, my overall quality is improving and it’s hard to decide what you are going to do with a program until you have comfort with it, i am slowly becoming one with 3ds max after these two years…

Over the summer i will continue on with 3d and hopefully get the placement i am waiting for.

Skills that I had prior to being in university have also transferred really well into my 3-d work I am very confident with my textures because of my Photoshop skills, and my eye for aesthetically pleasing colours allow me to make an authentic scene.

I can map a scene with textures, control a rig, configure a rig, add skin to that rig, animate and lip sync the rig edit the footage and publish it to the portfolio that I coded myself on my own personal web space, in joining university I have come a long way as a person, practitioner and as a student I have mentally grown and I have learnt to take my work so much more seriously, I have also learnt that 3ds max will only give you back as much hours you put into it, I have been at the computer working with 2ds max now for a whole year and I am treating it as a tool now and not as the application I am learning for university. I enjoy being on the application so I will enjoy being at work when I finish university, I believe I would be an asset to any design team this summer as I have to combat man 3ds max problems myself and I have the ability to look at a scene and de construct is effectively for a more controllable layer composition in after effects, it’s a skill to be able to the most efficient route in any project.

My aim is to have a range of styles and skillsets, i need to show that i am capable of design and both comfortable with my creativity and am able to come out of my comfort zone, each project will be unique and i will have to start with industry standard designs so alot more work is needed. My showreel doesn’t include live footage, but my teachers have only just taught me these techniques so i need to go out and get ahead, because as i am no where near the front there are still practitioners who know even lesser than me.

This is what the Japanese bring to our world, I did hear about the earthquake/Tsunami last night but I thought it was another tasteless joke. Unfortunately i woke to realise that it was a painful reality…

Natural disasters have been forever happening… but this one has really struck me, people are using internet mediums not to help and aid those in need, but to mock and humiliate a culture and country.

I could also swear that this isn’t a very ‘Natural Disaster either’ #Justsaying. I’m really angry that i can’t find the footage that i have in my head, I’m not sure where i had seen it but the clip below will do.

Here’s my argument, U.S and other troops have been letting off weapons as if it’s a gun game, Society blames media and the entertainment industry for violence and other senseless crimes, I blame Government for the violence and the media for the way that we interpret important events and disasters like these, The media and the internet isn’t always factual, its controlled and filtered.

The news will show you stories towards their bias, (I’m aware we know this but we forget these things)

Here is the same story from different angles.

Here’s what media has done to us as People. We watch a film, we see magnified problems and are like :O woooow. we take it all in and our subconscious takes it all in and then saved it for a later date.
We are then faced with natural disasters such as this one and because the special fx and explosions have been stored somewhere in your memory bank you compare and contrast between the two and in the breakdown don’t recognise that the films have resolution and are structured disasters, we have the ability to help in the real world, the feeling of.. wow if that happened to me.
